We are cordially inviting you to the annual conference of Czech and Slovak Sinologists, which will take place on 22–23 November 2019 at the Department of Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc in Olomouc, Czech Republic. We accept individual paper proposals, but also strongly encourage joint proposals for full thematic panels. In addition, we plan to organise a research poster session for students to present their research.

Important information:

  • Deadline for submission of your abstract / abstracts for the panel is 31 July 2019.
  • Notification about the decision will be e-mailed to you by 31 August 2019.
  • Conference languages are Czech, Slovak, and English.
  • There is no conference fee.
  • Please send your abstract to sinokon2019@gmail.com.
  • Please visit acas.upol.cz/poster-session to find out more about the student poster session.

Practical information:

  • An abstract can be up to 250 words long. Please include your affiliation.
  • A thematic panel may consist of 3–4 papers.
  • Each participant will have allocated 30 minutes (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion).
