In Czech universities, neither the departments of Art History nor the departments of Asian Studies offer regular, or extension courses on Asian Art & Archaeology. Therefore, it is considered to be a high priority to introduce to those interested in this field as well as to incidental readers, the newest book production relevant to the Art & Archaeology fields by using the CHINET platform.

Art & Archaeology is rather a broad filed, which is habitually raging from new excavations of material culture to the analysis of, and research on paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, architecture, and Buddhist art, not limited in time.

On this web page, reviews from the field of cinematography, music, theatre and dance are welcomed as well as discussions on the theory of arts and aesthetics. The main endeavor of these reviews is to enhance the study of East-Asian Art & Archaeology in the Czech Republic, and introduce it among the well-established academic disciplines.
