Editorial Foreword to the ‘Taiwan Literature’ Section by Dr. Dluhošová

Editorial Foreword to the ‘Taiwan Literature’ Section by Dr. Dluhošová

This section of the review platform will primarily focus on Taiwan literature. We welcome book reviews, review articles, or state of the field reports. Because English-language publications on Taiwan literature are not so numerous, we especially welcome reviews of books in other European languages and in Chinese.

We do not view Taiwan literature as an isolated or monolithic phenomenon, therefore we encourage submission of studies that approach Taiwan literature from a broader geographical perspective. Since the Taiwanese case is often viewed as a unique “laboratory of identities,” we are happy to include submissions focusing on culture in a broader sense of the word. Among the topics that, in our view, deserve particular consideration are the languages and cultures of Taiwanese ethnic minorities.

In addition to book reviews, this section will feature digests and overviews of the current literary and academic production.

We encourage all of our colleagues and readers to contact Táňa Dluhošová with further inquiries and ideas.
