Department of Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc, would like to cordially invite you to a discussion meeting with Chinese writer Yu Hua 余华, titled Yu Hua in Ten Words.

Date and time: Tuesday October 4, 2016; 1:15 – 4:00 pm
Venue: room KC 2.05, Křížkovského 14, Olomouc, Czech Republic
Host: Dr. Kamila Hladíková

Three books of Yu Hua have been translated into Czech so far: Chronicle of a Blood Merchant (许三观卖血记) in 2007, To live (活着) in 2013, and Seventh Day (第七天) in 2016. A novel Brothers (兄弟) was translated into Slovak in 2009 and 2010 (two volumes).

As a part of the program there is planned author reading of the newly published Czech translation of Seventh Day (第七天) as well as autograph session.
